Coolidge Corner Clubhouse
Ahh, Clubhouse...where do I start? One of The Whiz's favorite places. A local bar with an endless menu, which to my suprise mac n cheese was not on. That's because this rare CCC dish can only be found on the weekday lunch menu. Perfectly portioned for one person, this heavenly mac n cheese is made with white cheddar, topped with excelently baked bread crumbs and served while the cheese is still bubbling. WINNING!
If you make it in time for lunch, I highly recommend ordering this mac, since they won't make it, even by special request any other time. (Trust me, I've tried)

Tomato and Cheese
A small, diner type restaurant found in the downtown area of Randolph, Ma. Offers free delivery to Randolph and the surrounding areas. Since The Whiz was at work, I opted for delivery, which may have altered the quality. Let me start by saying that it only costs $4.95. It was also a HUGE portion, Quantity over Quality if you ask me. But if you are looking a quick, inexpensive mac n cheese to feed the masses, then this is your mac. However, it came in an aluminum foil container WHAT UP WITH THAT? it was made with processed cheese from a can WHAT UP WITH THAT? the entire top layer was undercooked bread crumbs WHAT UP WITH THAT? it was a tad greasy WHAT UP WITH THAT? ooooooooo weeeeeee WHAT UP WITH THAT?

The Publick House
Great bar in Washington Square, classy, eclectic and laid back. A huge beer selection, both bottled and on tap. This, my dear mac n cheese lovers, was by far the best mac n cheese I've ever seen or tasted. It came highly recommended by my fellow mac n cheese connoisseur, Matt.
Yes, that is a broccoli floret you see in the picture. It is one of the many add-ins that can be baked into this cheesy, lip smacking, peel-the-cheese-off-the-side-when-your-done mac n cheese madness. And to quote a lyrical genious, this mac n cheese is so good, "it'll make the hipsters fall in love" (Ke$ha!).

Regal Beagle
Found in the heart of Coolidge Corner. The Beagle, as the locals call it, is a great spot with a nice atmosphere, that really added to the mac n cheese experience. The head chef transformed this classic dish into a gourmet delight. Adults should have no shame when ordering this, especially when paired with one of the restaurants specialty cocktails. Try Pimm's Cup or order a Hefeweizen, the presentation alone will rock your world. Now for the good stuff: The dish is presented in a steel pot. It is served, piping hot, with a buttery ritz cracker, truffle oil and sea salt crust. Perfect blend of elbow noodles, melted cheese, ritz crackers and truffle oil keep this dish classic, with a slightly gourmet twist. Not a fan of truffle oil? This may not be the mac for you. Sorry.

This flagship mac n' cheese started my cheesey quest (puntentional) to delve deeper into this crazy adult-centered mac n cheese world.
